U.S. has highest proportion of mentally ill people for two reasons. First, because Americans consume most drugs for mental conditions, and they start using them since the very young age. Second, because of the way society is structured -- often both parents in poor families have to work to support their families, and don't spend time creating attachments and bonds with a child, which affects mental stability of a growing child.
